Target Has Become a Target of MDA

If you’re a Target shopper, you may want to tell the company that you appreciate being able to carry guns in its stores — because the company is being attacked for its current stance.

Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America is trying to pressure Minneapolis-based retailer Target Corp. into prohibiting customers from open-carrying guns in its stores.

Open Carry Texas, which has staged some Target open-carry rifle events in the past, has stopped those activities in favor of displays on public property.

Target says it won’t institute an overall open-carry ban. Spokeswoman Molly Snyder says the company follows state and federal laws.

“Target does not sell firearms or ammunition and, as it relates to this issue, we follow all state and federal laws,” the company said in a statement.

Law Shield thinks that is a reasonable position for Target and other companies to take, and hearing from customers is one way to ensure the policy stays as it is.

Email the company here, or call (800) 440-0680 and politely express your support for Target’s current rules.
