Law Shield applauds Jack Tapper, host of CNN’s “The Lead” show, who asked very pointed, reasonable, well-informed questions of Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel during a June 5 appearance.
The topic was new Chicago gun rules, and Tapper said, “critics say [the gun control laws Emanuel is] proposing will really not affect the people who are committing gun crimes in Chicago.”
Tapper then asked, “Don’t they have a point? The people who commit these crimes aren’t going to the gun store and guying guns legally, right?”
Emanuel’s answer was evasive. He replied, “no and yes” and then rambled about how the city is under court order to allow gun sales and personal gun ownership. Priceless.
