Texas Law Shield supports the members of Florida Carry in their efforts to preserve and expand gun rights. The group points out an often-overlooked point of law in Florida: The Florida law prohibiting the carry of open firearms and the Florida law requiring a license to carry concealed weapons, do not apply to a person who is engaged in fishing, camping, or lawful hunting, or while going to or returning home from fishing, camping expeditions, or lawful hunting, Pursuant to Florida Statute 790.25(3)(h).
