New Credit Card Descriptor Code Coming; Same Charge as Always

To our Texas & U.S. Law Shield Members: A recent change in credit card processing has the credit card networks requiring vendors to assign a prefix for the billing descriptor by adding a three-letter code and asterisk to the descriptor. This will make your credit card statement read a little differently regarding your Membership charges.

In the past, your charge descriptor may have said “Texas Law Shield” or “U.S. Law Shield.” In the near future, that descriptor will read, “USL*Texas Law Shield” or “USL*US Law Shield.”

We just wanted to give you notice that this is the same charge as always. There is no need to question it. — John Crowley, Controller, Texas & U.S. Law Shield
