Member Question: Carrying on Army Corps of Engineers Properties

army-corps-of-engineers-logoIn our Member Forums, “Neighbor” asked: Can you legally carry on your person or in a boat while at a park or on a lake that is managed by the Army Corps of Engineers?

A Texas Law Shield Independent Program Attorney answered, “Unfortunately, each district has its own firearms policy; to carry on Army Corps of Engineers land will require you to contact the District Commander and receive permission, or convince the agency to change its policy.”
