We’ve received a few comments regarding the effective dates of these bills and laws, and wanted to make a quick note of clarification. With two exceptions, every bill mentioned in the Legislative Update is effective September 1, 2013. The two exceptions are:
1. HB 3142, currently effective, removes the revolver/semi-automatic categorization on concealed handgun licenses, and
2. HB 1349, effective January 1, 2013, removes the requirement for social security numbers.
