In Wisconsin, Man Repels Break-In with Rifle

WISN-TV in Milwaukee has reported that Rami Murrar, owner of Bouchard’s clothing store in Milwaukee, was working in his store around 4 a.m. on July 27 when a van smashed into the security doors and concrete posts protecting his store.

After the van broke through the doors, three armed men attempted to enter the store. Murrar retrieved a semi-automatic rifle and fired at the armed intruders, striking one and causing the trio to flee.

Later, police found one of the suspects at a local hospital.

Following the incident, Murrar told a local news outlet, “It was a lot of guys out there. So I believe if they would’ve gotten through that door, I would’ve been dead, so that’s the reason I reached for my gun.”

Law Shield has learned that Murrar will not be charged with a crime in connection with the shooting — because he was acting in self-defense.
