Law Shield is happy to report that charges have not been filed against a Memphis homeowner who, in late December, shot a home invader multiple times and killed the intruder.

WREG-TV in Memphis reported that 22-year-old Nico Carlisle and another suspect knocked on a door in the 2300 block of Devoy around 6 p.m. When a woman came to the door, the two suspects forced their way inside and Carlisle put a gun to the woman’s neck.

The station reported that the homeowner grabbed a handgun before going to investigate the commotion, and fired multiple shots at the men, hitting Carlisle multiple times.

After police arrived, Carlisle was pronounced dead at the scene. The second suspect escaped and has yet to be identified.

This is another example of why Law Shield members want to have effective means of self defense at the ready.
