Law Shield would like to alert our Texas members about an incident in which a concealed-handgun-license holder shot a man on the sixth floor of San Antonio’s Grand Hyatt hotel, according to a KSAT-TV report.
Investigators said the victim was banging on the older man’s door and when he opened it, the victim charged into the room. The shooter told police he fired once, hitting the victim in the chest and killing him.
It is not clear if the shooter will face charges.
Our program lawyers would welcome seminar questions about the issues of deadly force in hotels and while traveling. Our next Texas seminar is Thursday July 24 in Garland, with a workshop also on and July 25 at the DFW Gun Range in Dallas.
