Law Shield is happy to report that Montana Gov. Steve Bullock (D) has signed House Bill 250, which permits hunters in the state to use legally owned suppressors while hunting.
The enactment of this legislation immediately brings Montana in line with the 34 other states that currently allow the use of suppressors for hunting all animals.
As our Law Shield NFA members already know, there are numerous benefits to hunting with suppressed firearms: fewer noise complaints used as an excuse to close hunting lands; lessened recoil and muzzle rise; and reduced muzzle report to hearing-safe levels, limiting the risk that the hunter or anyone with the hunter will suffer permanent hearing loss if they fail to use hearing protection.
