Law Shield was gratified to see that police are not seeking charges against a woman who shot one of two men who broke into her Michigan home recently.
According to MLive.com, a homeowner in Schoolcraft Township awoke around 11 p.m. on Feb. 14 after hearing a loud knocking on the front door of her home.
The woman spotted two men outside the front door before one walked around the side of the building and broke a window, MLive.com reported. The homeowner shot one of the suspects after he entered the home.
Kalamazoo County Undersheriff Paul Matyas reportedly said there would be no charges considered against the woman, who acted in self-defense.
