In Indiana, Business is Booming for Restaurant that Offers Discount for Gun Owners

Law Shield wants to alert our members about an Indianapolis Cajun restaurant that is offering a discount for concealed carriers.

Art Bouvier, owner of Papa Roux Po-Boys and Cajun Eats restaurant, located at 8950 E 10th St, telephone

(317) 603-9861, announced this week that customers who present a valid concealed handgun permit will get a quarter off their tab. Bouvier first made the announcement Sunday in a Facebook post.

“The 25 percent discount is simply for showing you have a carry license, meaning you have a clean criminal record,” he told Fox News. Bouvier already offers a 50-percent discount to police officers.

Bouvier began offering the discount after a man walked into the restaurant and told the cashier he had a gun and demanded money. The suspect took cash from a tip jar and escaped.

Though we haven’t had the good luck to sample the food at Papa Roux, Law Shield does endorse Art Bouvier’s carry-permit discount. He’s an honest man trying to keep his business and customers safe while they eat.
