Employee Spotlight: Lana B.

Meet Lana

Here at U.S. LawShield, we care about the communities we serve because we are your neighbors, your friends, and your family members. Take a look behind the scenes and meet Lana, Regional Sales Manager over the Southeast Region at U.S. LawShield.

A proud daughter of a WWII B-17 bomber pilot, Lana helped found the non-profit Honor Flight of Southern Colorado in her father’s memory. A major accomplishment was when the organization flew more than one hundred WWII heroes to Washington D.C. for a trip of a lifetime to visit the WWII Memorial.

A self-proclaimed Glock Girl, Lana’s favorite gun is the Glock 19 Gen 3. But as of late, she has been changing it up and enjoys shooting the SIG Sauer P938. Her first gun was her father’s Beretta M1934 .380 ACP.

But her military association doesn’t end there: Lana’s husband is a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of twenty-three years. She enjoys spending her free time with him and her six precious grandchildren playing softball, fishing, and of course shooting!

EMPOWERING YOU WITH EDUCATION

On a typical week, Lana fills her days planning and scheduling events, seminars, and workshops to educate the Southeast Region on a slew of topics essential to responsible firearms ownership. With over twenty-five years of industry experience, Lana stresses how blessed she is to work with such an amazing team who helps her to ensure the Southeast is properly represented.

“Partnering with our facilities brings me such joy and comfort, as our partnership with the amazing ranges, gun stores, and instructors are the backbone of our company.”

As a former firearms instructor herself, Lana enjoys arming law-abiding citizens with the knowledge needed to be responsible gun owners and the importance of becoming a U.S. LawShield member.

“I feel a sense of accomplishment when I walk away, knowing that I gave another person peace of mind to watch over themselves and their loved ones.”

WHY IT MATTERS

Like many of the staff at U.S. LawShield, the confidence in being able to protect a loved one is an essential that Lana holds close to her heart.

Prior to joining LawShield, Lana’s daughter found herself entangled in a self-defense case, and the family was left to find means of protecting themselves from the law on their own. While charges were dropped and Lana’s daughter was in the clear, the attorneys’ fees were steep and it would take the family a while before they would find themselves past the financial and emotional effects of the incident.

Ever since then, Lana has continued to stress the importance of always being alert and aware of your surroundings at all times to LawShield members. The best advice she can give gun owners in handling a self-defense situation is to use a weapon as a last resort and try to defuse the situation or stop it in any other way possible.

“Always keep your eyes open and your gun concealed and close by… always.”

We count ourselves lucky to have staff like Lana on the U.S. LawShield team reaching new members every day!
