Anti-hunting groups are working to ban the use of traditional ammunition with lead components. California has banned hunting with traditional ammunition and other states are under pressure to join the anti-hunting movement.
Though not all Law Shield members hunt, our members likely will be affected nonetheless. For example, the availability of alternative materials — such as copper alloys used in many bullet jackets — will tighten, creating scarcity and driving up prices. Even more worrisome is that lead bans might spread, based on the bad science the state relied on to make its decision.
