After Only Three years, Carry Permits Near the 250,000 Mark in Wisconsin

Law Shield is gratified to see that almost a quarter-million Wisconsin residents have submitted applications to get licenses to carry concealed guns, with more than 37,000 applications filed in 2014, the third full year after concealed carry was approved. An annual report from the Department of Justice said nearly 34,000 applicants were issued permits, raising the total number in Wisconsin to 242,488. With the passage of Act 35 in 2011, Wisconsin became the 49th state to allow concealed weapons.
